As a triple bottom line company, First Choice Recycling and Asset Management is committed to the highest possible standards for the disposing of e-waste. We proudly adhere to this Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
Why are Certifications Important?
When it comes to choosing an Electronics Recycling or Technology Asset Management company, you want to make sure that the electronics turned over to the recycler are handled responsibly and disposed of in an environmentally safe and secure way that meets or exceeds Best Managed Recycling Practices.
Certifications are not easy to come by because they cost money and take an extensive amount of time and effort to complete. This effort gives those who choose to recycle with First Choice Recycling the confidence that their materials have been handled correctly, responsibly and in a secure fashion.
RIOS is appropriate for both small and large firms and equally applicable to all types of scrap recycling facilities (metal processors, paper packers, electronics recyclers, etc). You can also become a Certified Electronics Recycler® by certifying to both RIOS and Responsible Recycling (R2) standards at the same time.
R2 is the leading standard for electronics repair and recycling. The R2 Standard provides a common set of processes, safety measures, and documentation requirements for businesses that repair and recycle used electronics. R2 is rigorously and independently audited, emphasizing quality, safety, and transparency.
R2 and Rios are currently pending licenses.
